We build technology for real work.
Italian companies do not lack enthusiasm for artificial intelligence. They lack the in-house skills to apply it to something that really matters. DOLMIR exists to do that work.
01Why it exists
The gap is real, and it is not one of conviction.
According to Istat, in 2025 15.7% of Italian SMEs used at least one artificial intelligence technology, up from 7.7% the year before. The North-West leads, at 19.3%.
The obstacle companies cite most often is neither cost nor mistrust: it is the lack of in-house skills, named by 58.6% of businesses. Nobody needs convincing of the value. Someone needs to do the work.
02What we believe
A system that says “I don’t know” is worth more than one that always has an answer.
That a scope written in advance is worth more than a broad promise. That a client must be able to dismiss the supplier without losing the system. That intelligence is not deciding everything, but knowing when to stop.
We would rather turn down a project that does not hold up than sell it and deliver it badly. In a sector where every company knows every other, it is also the most sensible commercial choice.
03What we build
Systems around the work, not technology looking for a problem.
AI systems with the company’s context built in. Automations with human control where it is needed. Software and integrations above the systems that already exist. Digital systems that are part of the flow, not shop windows. And DOLMIR Software, the product that brings all of this to bear on one process at a time — today, requests for quotation.
04How we think
The problem first. Then the technology.
Most AI projects in companies start from the tool and go looking for a problem to solve. It is the wrong way round, and it produces automations that work in the demo and that nobody uses three weeks later.
The processes worth automating have three traits: they repeat at high frequency, they occupy skilled people, and they have a visible cost when they go wrong. They are less glamorous than a conversational assistant. They are also the only ones that pay back.
05Where we work
Lombardy, where office work has fallen behind the shop floor.
Lombardy, and in particular the area between Brescia, Bergamo, Lecco, Varese, Monza-Brianza and Milan. It is the densest mechatronics district in Europe: 33,800 local units and 460,000 employees, according to Assolombarda.
We work with companies and businesses where the person who feels the problem and the person who decides are close together — often the same person. What counts is the process, not the size.
06Where we are going
One process at a time, done all the way.
DOLMIR Software grows process by process, starting from requests for quotation. The same method — understand, verify, stop where it matters — carries over to other office work. And we stay small enough to be precise.
What we refuse
Projects where we are not allowed to measure the process first.
Automations without a human approval step.
Promised savings percentages before the survey.
Technical lock-in used as a sales tool.
Reusing one client’s data to serve another.
A note on transparency
DOLMIR is a new company. We do not publish client logos, testimonials or case studies because we do not have any yet, and inventing them would be the fastest way to lose the only thing that counts in this trade. What you can judge today is the method, the product you can watch at work on this site, and the conversation.
